The block multi-suite commercial building that stood at 2264 North Aurelius Road was once called the Brower Building after its owner Steve Brower.

The building housed various businesses over the years, including Spartan Finance, K9 Coiffures, Union Co-Op Management, Patchword Palette, and others.

Businesses moved out and the building was demolished in the 1990s for the construction of an Arbor Drugs pharmacy building in 1998. The Michigan-based Arbor Drugs chain was acquired by CVS in 1998.
