Pioneer Cemetery was deeded to the Delhi Township Department of Health in 1850. It was active from 1853 to 1938. Located on Aurelius Road and just over one acre in size, it is the burial place of many early residents in the Holt-Delhi area. Pioneer Cemetery was made an Ingham County Historic Site and was made a Michigan State Historic Site in 1992 during Delhi Township’s sesquicentennial celebration.

The Ingham County Historical Marker fell into disrepair and is no longer in the cemetery. A state historical marker was never purchased for the site.
