Built originally as the William Dewar residence, the building at 4462 West Holt Road later became a commercial property. The Dewar family sold the home in 1966.

In 1969, All-Star Realty Company acquired the home for their offices. It was still a single-story frame structure for several years of use by All-Star. The second story was added around 1972-1973. All-Star left the space for a new office on College Road around 1978. Karyn Perry opened Karyn’s Dance Place in the building in the early 1990s.
